Signing the Protocol of Technical Cooperation between the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks and the Eurasian Patent Office of the Eurasian Patent Organization

On February 14, 2008 the Head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks B.P. Simonov and the President of the Eurasian Patent Office A.N. Grigoryev signed the Protocol of Technical Cooperation between the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks and the Eurasian Patent Office of the Eurasian Patent Organization on Issues Related to the Eighth Edition of International Patent Classification.

The Protocol was signed with the aim to expand the scope of use of International Patent Classification in Russian within the framework of cooperation of CIS countries, as well as promoting improvement of International Patent Classification within the framework of international cooperation undertaken under the WIPO`s aegis.

The document determines the mechanism of relationship on issues of use of the Eighth Edition of International Patent Classification in Russian.
