April 5, 2007. Large western investors have come to the Russian Internet-based business. Index Ventures, Holtzbrinck Ventures and Cisco Systems will invest 18 million dollars into Ozon Internet-shop. Investors anticipate that in 3-5 years turnover of the company will increase from today`s 34.3 million dollars to 100 million dollars, whereupon assets could be sold to a large Internet trading market player. For new Ozon`s co-owners investments into the project are only the first step on the Russian market - the funds are preparing to invest money into other IT start-ups. »»» March 20, 2007. Last Friday FSSN suddenly made a statement on the necessity to check software of insurance companies for availability of a license. This statement of a supervision body was caused by a potential threat of seizure of unlicensed software by legal enforcement bodies. Later on the insurers could be left without databases and FSSN without reporting. In order to prevent this, the service decided to take preventive measures since according to estimates of insurance market players, about 50% of insurance companies work without relevant license for these or other programmes. »»» February 27, 2007.
